Question black,bluish-grey,red,bluish-grey,grey,white,grey,beige

Why does Inifiniti only offer the G37 in bland colors?

<table id="yat-trim-colors-table-dummy" class="selected"><tbody><tr></tr></tbody><thead> </thead> <tbody> <tr> <th align="left"> Black Obsidian </th> <td class="available">
</td><td class="available">
</td><td class="available">
</td> </tr><tr> <th align="left"> Blue Slate </th> <td class="available">
</td><td class="available">
</td><td class="available">
</td> </tr><tr> <th align="left"> Garnet Ember </th> <td class="available">
</td><td class="available">
</td><td class="available">
</td> </tr><tr> <th> Lakeshore Slate Metallic </th> <td class="available">
</td><td class="available">
</td><td class="available">
</td> </tr><tr> <th align="left"> Liquid Platinum Metallic </th> <td class="available">
</td><td class="available">
</td><td class="available">
</td> </tr><tr> <th align="left"> Moonlight White </th> <td class="available">
</td><td class="available">
</td><td class="available">
</td> </tr><tr> <th align="left"> Platinum Graphite </th> <td class="available">
</td><td class="available">
</td><td class="available">
</td> </tr><tr> <th align="left"> Sahara Sandstone </th> <td class="available">
</td><td class="available">
</td><td class="available">
</td></tr></tbody></table>

Look at how hot the IS-F looks in electric blue! Where's a nice emerald green? How about at leat a metallic black like you can get on a BMW?

Where has all the imagination and boldness gone?

"Why does Inifiniti only offer the G37 in bland colors?"

Because it's not a Mini Cooper, although I like them very much.

I'm not looking for "wild"... just "interesting".

e.g., I can order a BMW with a black metallic exterior and red leather seats.
e.g., I can order a Lexus in dark green.
e.g., I can order a Mercedes in dark blue (not blue-grey, but actual blue).

It's the grey-grey-grey that's bugging me.

OH...I see what you are saying. I do know that some of these companies you mention charge extra for certain colors.

350 - I think Infiniti's color spectrum is a reflection of the overall statement they want their cars to make. As you can see through their commercials, ads, etc, they go for a very zen-like, organic look (washi trim, wave-inspired hood, etc) with the 'wild side' lying under the hood. I think going too far away from earthy, organic color tones would take away from the image they've put together.

Just my two cents.

Good point.

Maybe I just need to buy out my lease and head to the body shop for a custom job.

Garnet Ember is pretty bold. One of the best looking red colors in the market...

Agreed... but I'm not a fan of red.

I guess my problem is I went from a really flashy Nissan (Daytona Blue 350Z) to a really dull Nissan (OB G35), and although they drive very similarly, they're like polar-opposites on the outside.

Maybe I just need some flashy rims...

Or neon...

...kidding.

Are you making a purchase based on the color of the car? What about how many cup holders it has? I personally love the DG and wouldn't want anything flashy but everybody has different taste.

Yes, and yes.

Would you buy a pink G35 with no cup holders?
