Well I'm going to look at the G tomorrow. It's a 2007 G35S 6MT in Obsidian Black. I don't know what packages it has yet, but I REALLY hope it has nav (simply because that means it has the backup camera right?). I just got off the phone with the salesman I was speaking to the other day and he said they've ordered brand new rims for it because the current ones are a little scuffed up, and they're putting new tires on the new rims as well. So i'll let you know how the drive goes, but at this price ($23,998), I'm probably gunna try to talk 'em down a bit more and be buying it tomorrow!

2007 Tech Package = Backup cam
2008 Navigation Package = Backup cam

Good luck with your purchase!

For the 2007 G's, you can't get the tech package without the navigation package.

As for the clutch, the 2007 clutch was horrible. Make sure the slave cylinder has been replaced under warranty and also beware of the creaky clutch pedal. I'm glad they finally improved the clutch for 2009.

If the clutch slave cylinder hasn't been replaced yet, can I just take it to the dealer and have it replaced? Also, the creaky clutch pedal, is there a fix for this? Let me know.

Do others agree that on the '07s you can't get the tech without the nav? Therefore, if the car has the navi, it'll have the backup camera?

Thanks for the help.

There was a TSB for the slave cylinder so yes you can take it to the dealer to have it replaced under warranty if it hasn't already been done. Check out the link below for more information.

As for the clutch pedal, they replaced the entire assembly. Apparently it's still an issue for the '08s.

For the 2007 model year, you had to get the technology package if you wanted the back-up camera. Infiniti changed the packages in the 2008 model year and included the back-up camera in the navigation package.

So the dealership I'm looking at the G at isn't an Infiniti dealer, it's called Auction Direct, will they have in their records whether or not the slave cylinder was replaced? If not, I could take it to an Infiniti dealership and they'd be able to tell me whether or not it's been replaced, yes? Also, what does replacing it fix? Would it eventually fail otherwise? or does it just make the whole clutch situation feel a little bit better?

Thanks.

So I went to the dealer thinking "if this car isn't EXACTLY what I want, I'm NOT buying it". Well it was what I wanted and more! I bought it. It's a 2007 G35 Sport Sedan in Obsidian Black with the premium package, navigation package, and tech package. Also, it has the smaller 5-spoke wheels that I didn't even know you could get on the 2007, but I like them more than the bigger ones I've seen on most of them, so that's awesome.

Here's a pic:

They're putting new tires on it, giving her a full detail and I can pick her up on Wednesday. I paid $25,400 after taxes, title, and all that BS.

Let me know what you think!

Those are not stock wheels, they are some sort of aftermarket

well ****, I didn't even notice, but those aren't stock wheels, I thought they were just smaller stock ones, but they're clearly aftermarket. What do you guys think of them? I'm a little angry that I didn't notice this and it wasn't brought to my attention. Is it a big deal not having the stock wheels? would this void any factory warranties or anything?

well I was looking around and I figured out that they are in fact Infiniti wheels, they're from a 2003 G35 Sport Sedan, see pic:

So I feel better, I personally like them more than the stock '07 wheels, I'm not a fan of ten-thousand spokes, what do you guys think?
