Stock wheels should have been 18" wheels. Well, as long as you're happy with your purchase.....congratulations on your new ride!

Those five spoke Infiniti wheels look strong and fine. Another potential plus being 17's is that their unsprung weight may be less. This could positively affect stopping power, handling and even acceleration (although there's little chance you'd be dissatisfied with THAT).

ya, that's one of the reasons i like the 17's, I had 19's on my RSX (instead of the stock 16's), and I noticed a DRAMATIC reduction in acceleration and a little bit in braking, of course from 16-19 is a bigger gap than 17-18, plus the RSX has very little torque, but still, I figure a little more tire will help the ride too, cheaper tires too has been my experience.

if you like the way they look then i wouldn't worry about it.

rims are one of those things that don't wear out. they only brake when you hit some thing. and are EASILY replaceable with some thing else if you want.

have fun driving your new slick ride, get it tinted...

well I just got off the phone with the guy from the dealership and my car's gunna be ready on Thursday for pickup after they put new tires on the 17's. But here's what's AWESOME. They figured out (without me saying anything) that those aren't the stock wheels for the '07 and they ordered me BRAND NEW stock 18's PLUS BRAND NEW tires for them and I'll take it back by next week when they come in and they'll switch them out. Plus, I can hopefully talk them into letting me keep the 17's and using them for my winter setup. How great is THAT!?!

So I went last week to get the new wheels and tires and I LOVE how they look. The rims have Goodyear Eagle F1 tires on there which look badass. The problem is that there is RIDICULOUS noise when slowing down from 40 to 0 now. It's incredibly obnoxious, my friend's lifted H2 with like 38" tires aren't this damn loud, no lie. What can i do? I've looked on Consumer Reports and they have the noise rating for these tires as "Good", which is the highest they have any of the tires rated. The 17s had Michelin's on there and the car rode SILENTLY, now it SUCKS ***, it literally RUINED the ambience of the car and I'm really pissed about it. What tires do you guys have? are they loud? does anyone else have these same tires and is or is not experiencing this obnoxious noise? thanks guys.
