Rear Windows Down only, change in air pressure?

So here's a weird thing.

Anyone ever drive their 2007-2008 sedans with their rear windows down only (front still up) and get some crazy pressurizing (where your ears can feel it) as well as thunderous rolling (air turbulence), I've never experienced this with any other sedan I've driven.

Yes - pretty common, did it in my Maxima too. If you crack the sunroof it'll go away.

I've had that happen once and I'll never roll down the back windows alone again. When it happened to me, the sunroof was raised open in the rear and I thought the buffeting was going to dislodge the sunroof as it was moving up and down a lot. This is my first sedan ever, so I'm not sure how normal it is.

This is typical in a sedan. Some are worse than others.
The G does it, my friend's Altima does it, our old Accord did it...

I just crack the front windows or opene the roof and the problem is solved.

It's pretty common with most cars these days.
I suspect it's related to modern aerodynamics.

Rear windows open only OR sunroof open only in some sedans will cause this buffeting sensation. Just crack a front window in both cases

i think it's because when traveling at higher speeds, more air is being pushed in the car than the air being let out of the car...

didn't happen in my old Accord, but I did notice it on my G. Good to know I'm in good company.

Happened in my '07 Accord sedan and it was REALLY bad in my '99 Regal - the first time it happened I thought my eardrums were going to start bleeding!
