I'm looking for a "cradle" that you snap the phone in and it automatically charges and has a connection for an external antenna.

Plus a "ProMount" to mount it permanently.

I've been using this:
DLO TransDock Direct

The AUX connection is the main reason I got it. The only problem I have is that for some reason the cigarette lighter plug on it is much bigger than the hole in our dash, so with a good bump in the road, it comes loose and i have to push it back in. Wish I could fix that somehow and I would love it.

This is actually something on my project list...My idea is to take a scosche passport docking station adapter and mount it in place of the ashtray. I'd like to run the Ipod interface wire inside the console and plug it into the docking station adapter. I've roughly checked the clearance and cable length and feel that it could work. With the ashtray lid flipped up, you could dock your Iphone without interferring with your shifter.

The passport dock adapter would allow the Iphone to charge and interface with the Infiniti Ipod functions at the same time. The dock adapter looks like it could easily be modified to fit into the ashtray area. A link to the adapter is below:

I have yet to start on this, but when/if I do I'll keep everyone posted!

This is exactly what I have been thinking about since the first day I drove my car. Can't wait to see how it turns out for you.

What I meant was that it's too long for the socket...so it gets too much leverage with the weight on it and moves around.
