Ipod Touch Issues

I've had my G now for 4 months and have had a chronic problem from day one..."Ipod is not connected" constantly, throughout the day. If I turn the audio power off or even if I turn off the car with the audio on, it is a nuisance and is a big disatifier for me! Is anyone else experiencing this issue and what have you done about it? I read somewhere where a fellow member purchased a ipod nano specifically for his G...do the Nanos work flawlessly? Any suggestions?

Sir Lennox

I have the same problem with my 2nd gen Ipod Touch. Whenever that "Ipod not connected" message pops up, I just unplug and replug the cable back into the Ipod. A little annoying, but it works for me.

the ipod touch is not compatible with a lot of the the old apple audio devices. i think theres an adapter you can buy.

I have a First Gen iPod Touch and a 3G iPhone.
Both devices work flawlessly with no errors or disconnections.

This appears to be an issue with the 08+ iPod integration... since it doesn't seem to be an issue with the 07's, where we just plug into the A/V hookups.

Yeah I've got an 08 and have had this happen twice. Both of mine were during the winter so I just figured it was because the iPod was really cold. Never happened in the summer.

For newer iPods and the iPhone, this is what you need:

There is a service bulletin that affects at least the 08 G35 having to do with an intermittent harness (not the external one that Infiniti supplies).
The fix is to replace the harness. S?B under warranty
Check with your dealer.
