Installing a Sport front bumper on a Journey.

I am getting installed a Sport front bumper on my 07 Journey. Before I get the part painted, can anyone confirm for sure part will fit, 100%. Do I need to order any other parts? bumper pad, supports, clips etc?

Thanks!

Do you have ICC? Was it available on the Journey?

I hope you dont have ICC and that you got a spot bumper without the ICC placement.

What Terry said...
I bought a Sport bumper for my car, had it painted and it didn't fit. The ICC sensor is located in a slightly different location.
If you don't have the tech pack, it will fit perfectly. All mount points are the same.

The mount and work to relocate the sensor was quoted at approx $1500-.
I didn't feel it was worth it

I have the journey, premium, with no tech or nav. I plan to buy the G35 Sedan Sport w/o Tech. I believe it should fit perfectly, but wanted to know before spending $900 for a bumper cover that I can't install. The dealer quoted my body shop 6 diff bumper covers.

Sport 2wd, no tech
Sport P Nav7
LMPQ2 blah blah blah..lv2
L... ..lv4
and a few others for I assume '09 G37xS

For me I believe it's the 2WD Sport w/o tech.

Thanks!

Yes, it will fit with no problems what so ever. I had my regular bumper switched out for the sport bumper as well.

A guy on here even had the ICC sensor relocated to fit properly on a sport bumper. It just takes a bit more work.

However, in your case, you have no ICC so it's a direct bolt on.

Yeah, for $900 I don't think I'd do it.

$900 is a lot just if you want the sport bumper look

But the quote seems accurate - I have to replace my sport bumper and two different estimates put it at about 850 or just over 900, thankfully I shouldn't be the one paying.

But it doesn't seem ur getting "overcharged", its just an expensive item to begin with

The bumper cover cost $300 to $350 after shipping costs. The rest is prepping, painting, color sanding, clear coating, polishing and paint costs. $900 is completely in line for a quality painted replacement bumper. I personally can't stand the Jouney bumper. I would have puchased a Sport from the start but could not get wood in the sport. Plus my bumper looks like hell. Tons of chips.

Yep, that's exactly the amount i paid for mine. Not to mention my original bumper also had a huge gash in it so perfect excuse to switch out the bumper

I fell in love with the Journey Bumper once the Nismo Front Lip became available.
Now, I'm kinda happy things didn't work out for me and my Sport Bumper attempts.
