I have driven both the Journey and the Sports. I honestly don't think the limited slip differentials make a noticeable difference.

Y not look into aftermarket suspension upgrades such as coilovers, sway bars, strut bars, or better tires??

Well i've got the car lowered and have sway bars what 20 inch tires would you recommend, what do you think of 19x10 275/40 rear. Would it rub?

This is really weird because my car came with VLSD but i have a journey.
It even says it on the package deal I received from my broker.

It shouldn't.

Does the VLSD light illuminate on the dash when you break traction?

Robby, I am almost positive you do not have VLSD if you have a Journey. Because as far as I know, only the Sports model come with limited slip differentials.

Maybe people are confusing the VDC with LSD (VLSD)? VDC is standard on all G35 but the LSD comes with the sport package, G35S.

VDC is the electronic stability and traction system that selectively cuts power and/or applies brakes to keep the tires from spinning out of control or the car from going sideways. This is very much a safety oriented option.

The LSD/VLSD is more of a "mechanical" device in the rear differential that doesn't allow the left wheel from spinning anfd the right wheel doing nothing. It is a perfomance option rather than a safety option and helps on hard acceleration or aggressive turns.

Not 100% scientific explanation but I think it should be reasonable.

I know thats why I'm saying its weird because it says I have it on the sheet the broker had given to me. He even said it himself. I know this comes with the S models but could this be an option i guess

I was thinking....the larger the wheel, the heavier it is and the more gangster you look.

Trust me, when you're on a 45 profile tire or less, side wall flex isn't too much of an issue.

Seriously, doesnt everyone know that the 08 Journey with the SPORT package is the exact same car is the "sport"?

Which also includes the... you guessed it VLSD

Rocco, you mentioned you have the car lowered. What is the camber on your rear? Perhaps you arent getting proper contact on the middle and outside of your tires.

Picture of your car's rear might help.

Sure but Robby said he has the VLSD in his Journey. It's not a Sport Journey.
So this does not apply.

On a side note I don't think you can turn of the VLSD, you can turn of the VDC. He is confused.
