Windshield scratches

I have my G35 for about 2 years. I consistently get scratches on my windshield from my wipers. I have had the dealer replace my wipers, and even my windshield, but I still get scratches over time. Anyone else with this problem? Any fixes?

Wiper blades need to be changed at least every six months. More often if you live where the wipers are dealing with dust and dirt, in addition to rain and snow.

Also, only buy top quality blades like RainX.

Nah I had my 07 for almost 2 years and never had any problems.

Are you using the wiper when the windshield is dry? Where doyou live?

Never had any scratch any of my G's windshield.

Windshield

I live in NYC. I don't use the wipers when dry, other than the occasional use with the washer. I have my car serviced every 3-4 months, they check the wipers.

Use LOTS of water/fluid!!!!! My dad would just squirt a little water, just enough to get the window wet, then let the wiper run through the normal series. That basically was just enough water to make a scouring paste just like AJAX.... Needless to say his windshield looks like poop. He also would go through blades like nobodies business because of the lack of water to "float" the dirt away. Kind of like when you wash your car, you don't just squirt a little water on then start scrubbing right.

^ That reminds me one of the lady yesterday at my son's school. She used the highest sped on the "rainy" day. Well it wasn't really raining much. Most people just turn it on maybe once a minute. Yeah and she left it on when she was waiiting in the parking lot for her son.
