Midnight Black grille

Has anyone replaced their grille with the midnight black grille? Is it hard to remove the old one and replace it?

WTB: If anyone buys a new grill and wants to sell their chipped grill let me know. I just posted in the marketplace for 07+ sedan parts. I want to pay about 40 for a chipped copy or about 60 for a fairly clean one.

Hey Dano. As many other have already said, the grille is VERY easy to replace on our cars... 15 - 20 minute job with only basic tools required. I changed mine out a few months ago and absoltely love the new grille.

+1 on calling Rick @ Riverside Infiniti if you need to buy one... Rick keeps them in stock and offers forum member a great discount.

Awesome, Brian... Glad to hear you got your intakes. Let us know how you like them once they are installed!

Thanks for the linky, but I don't get why you didn't paint the whole thing black??

and how long did you sand the grille for? also how smooth is it now? I mean did it deteriorate after a few months or is it still in good quality?

I decided to not make it all black because i wanted the midnight look, plus if i didn't like it I can always then go to all black. It's really smooth actually, the sanding took the most time like 2 hours? It's holding up pretty well the only problem is the same with the stock and oem midnight, if someone kicks a large rock at it it'll chip.

The oem grill is potethic on my car. I have maybe 5-6 chipped spot on my front of the car. Include hood bumper. But my second yes second grill had like 1000 spots where the "chrome" was missing. After just 2 weeks on the car no HWY driving. Funny enought the Mount Fuji sign has no pitting. Interesting ha, paint is good around the grill even mt fuji is good but the grill is like I came from the warzone. So I decided to paint my grill. I painted all black. I am happy with it. It has been only 2 weeks and so far no pitting on it. So I guess I did a beter job than Infiniti. Cost was less than 4 bux for the paint and cost me about 2 hours all together. Assy + Paint + re-assy.
