Hit a curb....

I towed my car to the body shop today. They are going to change one rear tire.I asked them to change both and I am going to pay for the other tire.
I am thinking of going with Falken 452. Is it a good choice? I want good thread life and smooth ride.
Where is a good place to buy these. I found these at sears for about $170.

The first time I turned off VDC and stuck my foot in it, I realized I had no business doing so. Fortunately, to outsiders, the result was a professional-looking, intentional drift, but my senses quickly kicked in and told me don't ever try that again in an expensive sedan.
I've driven far less powerful FWD cars before fairly hard, but they are self-limiting to some degree. I quickly realized the G's power pushing me from behind can get me into serious trouble without VDC and/or more experience. I realize I've only got 2,800 miles on my G so far and I'm not used to it, but the throttle seems very "edgy". It just wants to suddenly haul a** when I least expect it.
One DISadvantage of modern vehicles with electronic nannies is that they are easy to get used to. Just aim the steering wheel and let the vehicle correct your misjudgments. The problem is when you begin to rely too heavily on these safety features then get behind the wheel of a vehicle without the training wheels. I almost swallowed the back end of a Camry while driving my old truck in the rain a few weeks ago. I am used to just standing on the brake pedal with ABS and steering clear. I had my memory refreshed that you don't stand on the brake pedal in a non-ABS vehicle.

yeah S without VDC will kick out on every corner if pushed to the limit, no exception. i've 360'd many a time in my g, though i'd like to say most were in "controlled" circumstances, but quite a few of the early ones were not.. good thing I learned my lesson, seems like you learned yours too.
the lesson will come in handy when u'r on some windy mountain roads with cliffs on both sides, and a small voice in your head suggests: "how about trying to drift these corners with VDC off?" then the consequences can be much worse than a cracked rim.

Although the X can also be tail happy, it certainly isnt as tail happy as our RWD counterpart.
I feel the rear skip as I am turning, but it generally still bites down.

You push it hard but still bites.
I'd love to see the x with TT set up. It should be fun. 4 wheel drift. LOL
