Who has exhaust drone??
Im contemplating swapping out my stock resonators for some magnaflows since i already have an H pipe. My only concern is drone. Who here has an aftermarket system that has any kind of drone?? Is it that loud? Speed it occurs? I know its hard to determine if i'll get it by swapping out the resonators...but i figure some others with free flowing exhaust could chime in to how bad, if any is there.
I have HFC, magnaflow X pipe and Tanabe Exhaust, no drone unless I'm going 80+mph and only if i'm going up a hill or i'm on the gas trying to gain speed, if I get above 80 and cruise then no drone. Not loud, not noticeable I was driving people long distance they all slept through it as if there was nothing at all.

Nice! I think im going to order them anyway. I have h pipe, and magnaflow mufflers now. The rest of the exhaust piping is stock size. I just want a little more sound out the exhaust. If you dont have drone with that i think i'll be ok with running two round resonators.
You should be fine, worse comes to worse you could always just weld the stock resonators back in, which ones are you looking at? It's possible you'll get more flow and even better resonators than the stock ones anyways.

Im looking at magnaflow 10424 resonators. Which is a 4" round muffler. I took measurements and with the piping that was added from the H pipe, the length of this muffler will match up perfectly where the stock resonators are.
I think then you might be getting a deeper sound, not sure if it'll actually get louder though.

I think as long as i maintain an otherwise stock size diameter that drone shouldnt be much of an issue. Basically just trying to free up some sound that i know the stock components are made to cover up.

Well got it done after work today. Exhaust sounds gaareattt. Slightly deeper at idle. Normal driving it is very mild and but when you get on it you can feel and hear it come alive. Also, the car feels noticeably more responsive. I wasnt expecting to feel any power gains from this at all.....but driving in DS mode the car def has more pep when at driving at around 35 mph with the rpms holding around 3k or so.
