im just looking for a simple answer not looking which one looks better or is better or price or anything like that, just asking about the sound

i mean really what im looking for is if somone heard both and says hey this one is louder than the other. thanks

STILLEN is definitely louder than FI. It also has some droning unlike FI. I'd go FI over STILLEN.

I have the Stillen and I bought it pretty much just for the sound. I think it sounds great - although it quiets down a bit once it's broken in.

Yes, there's a small bit of drone if you're slowly accelerating up a steep hill in 5th gear or something like that, but I drove Houston to Austin every few weeks and you only hear it while cruising if you get on it.

When I got mine it was a few hundred cheaper than the FI and Stillen customer service was EXCELLENT.

 

Stillen is louder than FI. BUT there's the FI with the new option of round mufflers which makes it just as loud as, if not louder than, the Stillen.

 

I think the Stillen is louder and a bit deeper, but I personally prefer the FI exhaust sound a bit more.
It keeps the car's classy sound during normal driving and opens up to pure music when you get on it.
I love it.

You can have my FI if you pry it from my cold dead hands.

 

Glad to hear all the input as well. I was debating between the two and was leaning towards the stillen. I wanted something pretty quiet during normal driving but of course wanted it to really open up when I drop the throttle. The FI sounds to fit that perfect.

I personally feel that Fast Intentions takes the edge on quality, fit and finish as well.

I haven't dealt with Stillen's cust care, but I have talked to the guys at FI a few times.
I had a few questions during the install and they were top notch in service. They allowed me to email pics and took the time to walk me through some things.
Awesome guys over there.

 

ya im just concerned about my sound level, because of my HFC. right now it sounds just like the coupe, and i dont want anything super loud.
i was also debating on the tanabe axelback since they are known to give off very low db levels, but thats less hp there compared to the as to the catback exhaust. so so far its the FI for me, they claimed 9 whp just need to check the gains on the tanabe and that would make my decision.
and even though most of what i got was through stillen their CS sucks donkey DQ
