Car hit again!!!

Well, I just had my car fixed due to a hit and run about two weeks ago and yesterday a lady pulled out into my right of way and I t-boned her side. This all happened out of state making the situation 10x worse.

Of course, the driver couldn't produce proof of insurance. She said her mother has insurance on the car so we'll see what happens there. I assume my uninsured motorist will cover it like it did for my hit and run if all else fails. The damage is much more extensive this time and the shop where my car was towed gave an initial estimate of $15,000 to fix. This is getting real annoying.

That sucks!!!

Well, the bad news is you just dealt with wreck #2

The good news is that these things happen in threes so after the next one, you'll be all set

Sorry, bad joke, but luckily you are okay and cars are repairable and replaceable.
Still sucks though... sorry

Thanks, yeah everyone was alright. The girl admitted she was wrong to the cop and I had a witness tell the cop what happened so I'm hoping the case is open/shut without too much hassle. I'm going to have it fixed under my collision for now I guess and then try to recoup from her insurance (if she is able to provide it) or uninsured.

everyone always says to fight for "loss of value" compensation.

It's a possibility.... 15,000 is a LOT of damage, you'll lose a ton of value with that.

Well, the car is a 2008 G35S fully loaded (premium, navigation, spoiler, less than 9 months old) so I don't think they'll declare it a total loss and if they did I certainly don't think they'd give me enough cash to buy a new 2009 straight up...meaning I'd be dipping a few grand into my own pocket for someone else's mistake.

I probably hit the lady going about 15-20 mph as I saw her at the last second and was able to slam on the brakes. Air bags didn't deploy or anything but the car looks pretty mangled in the front. I am a bit worried about whether it can be restored to pre-accident condition but the body shop said it looks worse than it really is. I'll have to wait and see what the adjuster says.

Glad to see no one was hurt. Hopefully its a total loss, and maybe you can get a slightly used 08 same package. Theres plenty of great deals out there...

I just got my estimate from the adjuster. It looks like the work needed will be less than originally thought. I'm looking at about $9,000 in body work...mostly bolt on part stuff. Hopefully, it turns out as good as new. I can't wait to get it back. I've been driving a crappy Cobalt around for the past 4 days.
