my '09 G37xS shark fin has this little geometric/symmetric white stripe on the highest part of the fin .. it's about 1 cm x 0.25 cm and perfectly symmetric...

i can't figure out how it got there... if the paint peeled off or if it's supposed to be like that... my wife's '08 LP G35x doesn't have this... i have a platinum G...

 

Haven't noticed that on any Gs. Did it get scraped against something, prior to you picking it up from the Dealers.

Does that piece (shark fin) pop off pretty easily or does it need to be released from the interior somehow?

 

^Yes, you have to take the whole headliner off to take off the shark fin.
