I too had this rattle. I took my 08 g35 to grubbs infiniti. They fixed the rattle. The service invoice I got said:
Meter cover coming apart, making noise, poor appearance. Replaced cluster lid "a" to correct. Parts LID-CLUSTER-68240-JK61A

Looks like johnw999 and myself had the issue fixed with replacement part: LID-CLUSTER-68240-JK61A

went to the dealer a couple of weeks ago, and they replaced it with the lid cluster too. No more rattle.

just got mine fixed too... I was pushing the parts where it was loose on the old one, the one they put it on now... I believe it is 2010 model's lid cluster it feel much much better and it's solid. thx guys for the info
