Just Leased a G35X, question about oil change package delaer is offering
Just leased a G with premium, nav and sport , much tighter handling and lesser body roll than my previous 2005- bmw 525
What is the deal with oil changes?
Dealerr is offering a 3 year/36,ooo miles oil and tire rotation schedule 1 for $650, worth it ?.
2) Also, what kind of oil to be used in G37X?
3) Are many just going to Jiffy for oil and tire rotate?
4) On the my previous 5, the bluetooth screen in the car showed all my contacts in the cell phone to dial from, is there way for it to do on the G?
5) Any one with that specail Amex discount , please pm me
Thanks

Infiniti uses ester based dino oil in our cars. Dealers in Dallas, TX charge $49.99 for an oil change. If your wheels are staggered, they cannot be rotated UNLES the tires are taken off the rim and swapped with the other rim, remounted and rebalanced, etc.
Do you have a garage and do you know how to change the oil on a car? Some people can't is why i'm asking. If you do, don't go to the dealership and DIY.
I personally don't think you'll get your value's worth by their service that they are charging you $650 for. Save your money and put it into mods.

i think some of the questions you need answered shoudl've been answered at the dealership.
Infiniti did come out w/ discounted maintainence packages for all models which comes out cheaper in the long run.
if you have navigation, most smart phones will be able to send your phonebook into your car. if you don't have nav, then you won't

I am not that skilled to get the oil changed, so may use Jiffy lube or the dealer who is little far away
1) If i can go to Jiffy what Oil should I ask for?
2) Change oil every 7500 miles or 3750, the recomendation is little confusing
Thanks

Dealer packages = RIP OFF!
Im the same in that I use Mobil 1 synthetic 15,000 mile performance and change at 10,000.
I always throw in a quart of Marvel Mystery oil as well since the first oil change. Marvel Mystery oil is an additive for crank case and gas treatment.
When applied to the crankcase on a new engine, it helps to polish and hold compression like new as long as possible. When applied to gas, it cleans injectors and sludge buildup on your valves.
Its great stuff....Ive just been convinced. THe stealership had to give me a loaner and it was DOG SLOW compared to mine.
I guess takin care of your car does pay off.
