wow that looks really bad

 

I have no idea what it’s from. I bought my car used and my seats have done this as well. Only way worse to the point the leather itself actually shrunk and no longer meets in the center portion where all the seams connect. It literally looks like it’s missing material. I’m not sure that could even do that. I assumed maybe from the sun unless it had something to heated seat somehow. I don’t think it ever got wet but even the side parts of the foam underneath it are misshaped because the material is kind of crinkling due to the shrinking. My car is black though and my steering wheel is totally cracked destroyed by the sun probably neglected by a previous owner. (I’m the 4th one) same thing probably happened to the seat leather extreme UV damage and no conditioning. That’s odd though that yours is only that one small part. Maybe the sun beamed in on the one spot only. If you figure it out let me know please I’m about to buy a car cover to prevent any further damage. Especially since I plan on repairing it myself. I’ll post some pics when later.
