My leather seat is creased (burned??)

I don't know how to explain this, but my leather seat got all creased up last night. I don't know how it happened, but I'm suspecting the seat heater. Could be something else, but like I said I don't know. I have no idea how it happened. It could be a water damage, but I never spilled anything.

Take a look at the pictures. You can tell where it's damaged. The color looks totally different, there is no gloss. And when you touch it, it feels like you're touching the plastic. It's hard, not soft.

Has this happened to anyone before? If it's just the crease, I would understand as it is a wear and tear item. But burnt (assuming)?? It happened just last night and I did use the seat heater. But then now I'm thinking if it was a heated seat, why wasn't I burnt?

Weird....

I hope it's the warranty issue. I'm still trying to figure out if it was me at fault before taking it in. I'll need to take a closer look at tomorrow in a bright daylight.

Do you keep anything in your back pockets while driving?

No, I don't keep anything in my pocket. I always put my wallet, cellphone and the key in my cupholder. I don't even wear the belt.

If it was just the crease, I would think it'd come back to normal, but the circled part all got damaged as I posted in my OP. It feels as if I'm touching the burnt plastic. I went out this morning and took a look, but couldn't find out what caused it.

It kinda looks like a water damage too, but I don't recall spilling anything. For that much of a damage, I'd probably need to spill a whole bottle of water.

I'll probably take it to a dealer and see if they can find out. :sigh:

hopefully it'll be an easy warranty request.

I dunno that looks kind of funny. It's kind of like the leather hardened and created a bubble...
