bumper scuffs
bumper scuffs
Hey fells,
i parked a little too close to a curb yesterday and scuffed up the lower part of my front bumper. I found a place called bumper scuffs plus here in austin that repairs scuffs on bumpers as their name implies. They just paint small portions of the bumper where the damage is and blend it in to the rest. Total turn around time is a day. My g is platinum graphite. How hard is it to match and blend in that color? anybody else used a place like this? When I went there I saw a 911 gt3 and a z4 there so i assume they do a decent job. thanks for any feedback.

Being that low, most won't even notice the slight difference in color, if a mis-match happens to occur.
I'd worry if it was a door being painted, but a lower bumper corner, you should be fine.

update
they were able to blend in the paint but they did a poor job of buffing out the rough surfaces and blender. kept burning the clearcoat. they had to redo it twice. It's still not done right so i got my money back and am probably going to take it to the shop the dealer uses to get the bumper removed and painted. hopefully they'll do a good job and not jack up the removal and installation of the bumper.
