They claim it does and people who have used it and then compared it to actual results say it comes damn close

It still amazes me the type of programs that are coming out for the iPhone. I have the app as well but have yet to try it. I have to say though I would never expect this thing to be anywhere near accurate. I can't believe how many people have said it is not to far off from the actual results.

I have dynolicious and I have used it several times. I also did a before and after with my BullyDog install. Here's the skinny:

Real world quarter mile at drag strip stock: 13.88 average at 98.5 mph

Dynolicious run stock: 14.01 at 100.4mph, with 255whp

Dynolicious run Bullydog tune: 13.93 at 100.6mph with 268 whp

Dynolicious BOEING 737 Jetliner: 4,648 whp! (dont tell the FAA that my phone was on!!)

lol I used Dynolicious from time to time. You have to make sure to enter the correct weight of the car, and make sure you place it correctly somewhere where it won't move. I place mine in the cup holder and have it at an angle between horizontal and vertical, I thought that's how it should be

What are you guys using for drivetrain loss?
I'm AWD. From what I've found in several google searches, mines a whopping 25%.
Does that sound right?

I haven't taken my first run yet.

i've never thought about that - but is that why (in theory) the m/t is faster than a/t which is faster than AWD?

I always thought it was the AWD system. But if an M/T is maybe a 15% loss, A/T is maybe 20, and AWD is 25

Hey now... those there are fightin' words!

My AWD may have more drivetrain loss, but I'm three lengths down the track before you guys are getting any tire grip.
That's a subject for a whole new thread though.

Okay, I'll give Dynolicious a whirl as soon as I can. Trouble is, I have my kids in the car with me a good portion of the time, so the weekend may be my first chance to take a few sprints.

I just took two runs with the iPhone lying flat in my cup holder, on top of my wallet so it wouldn't move. When it says Go!, I nailed it.
I got up over a buck twenty on both runs and the test never completed.
Once I let up, the test ends and shows bogus data, like 30 mph and 90 hp.

Is it okay to leave it flat, or does it need to be vertical?

where the hell are you doing this?!? The only places here i could think of doing this are the turnpike, parkway, or maybe I-287, but i'd still be afraid of getting caught.

I have to say this...
When I bought my car, I was actually a little uncomfortable with the amount of power it had and wondered why you crazy people were looking to squeeze more from it. It took about a year, and then the mod bug bit and the little tingle of wanted more power started to grow.
First, I went with false senses of power, I installed paddles which just enhanced the driving experience. Then, I went with the FI exhaust, Grounding kit, BullyDog and the Injen is on the way (again)
I have to say that with these little mods, I would put one in, go for a ride, put another in, go for a ride, etc. I never really hit it to see how much I had gained.

Tonight, my car surprised me... really surprised me. It's got some serious get up and go. I really wish I got some decent test results. I'm dying to know what I'm pushing. I really need to find a dyno day this summer.
I'm very pleased with the performance now.

I wonder what I'll say a year from now.

Hmmm, I use the FREE pocket dyno app and it works fine every time. Did two 0-60 runs the other night and got 5.5 and 5.7 (driver error both times, couldve been faster).

Try downloading the free one and check it out. It gives me decent HP ratings, they're over 200, but still not right. I think I just need to add to the weight of the car tho. But the 0-60 runs are just right.

he's obviously on a closed course and is a professional driver

What was the 1/4 mi. time on the 737??? The G may get a jump off the line, but the 737 probably has more top end.

What is the weight that you guys are putting into the program? Plus what rpm are you guys launching at if you have a 6mt?

I entered the weight as specified from Infiniti for my specific model, and then added 200lbs for my fat @ss.

For those of you using this successfully, what is your speed when the test completes?
I've tried twice, but I've let up before the test completed. I'm not going to drive like a toolbag down public roads just to find out what my HP is, ya know?

I wish this thing could collect all the data it needs in a simple 0-60 run.
