Anyone use DynoStorm/Dynolicious?
I picked up an app for my Blackberry Storm called DynoStorm. It uses the accelerometer in the phone to measure acceleration and from that calculates 1/4 mile times and other metrics (G's, braking force, etc etc). It's $12.99 (it's also available for the iPhone for the same price via the iTunes App Store). I did a few runs and the times seem somewhat accurate...mph not so much. Here's my results:
Yeah the mph is definitely off there...lol I wish I could trap that high.
You can't see the 0-60 in the screen shots but it's around the 5.7-5.8 sec range. Has anyone else tried using this? Are you guys getting accurate results and mph? Tryin to get a feel for how it works for other people.

I have a G-Timer which has always seemed pretty accurate - gave me 13.7s 1/4 mile on cool nights.
However, I have the FREE PocketDyno for my iPhone and although I've never done any 1/4 mile runs I've done 4 0-60 runs all with varying VDC, wheel-spin, etc. so just average them. I've gotten 5.26, 5.51, 5.8, and 5.91 0-60. I'd say its pretty accurate considering its free

I was under the impression that the iPhone had to be horizontal, but either way, I shove it in the crease of the passenger seat, won't move, soft on the phone:0)
