delayed downshift from 3rd to 2nd

I have noticed for quite some time now that there is a lengthy delay when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd in manual mode. This will happen on normal cruise when i downshift to 2nd to accelerate and get power. As soon as i shift down, there is a lengthy delay until I actually can get into 2nd, almost like it just hangs in neutral. I dont know if this is normal or what but its very annoying and kind of scary when i downshift and try to accelerate and nothing happens.

thoughts?

Any certain RPM range when this occurs? I can check it for you later/tomorrow when I'm driving.

I dont' ever recall that. Sometimes when I change the throttle pressure and gearing too fast the TCU craps out and it takes a while to figure out what I want though. Isn't this liks what Aeson had was it him?
