Any recommendations for Independent service station in Montgomery County MD?

Hi Folks:

I'm coming up towards the last part of my free maintenance that was included in my '07 G35x purchase. My dealership is very expensive and charged me $330 in labor alone to change the rear brake pads on my most recent visit (is this normal?). I'm looking for a reliable independent service station in Montgomery County MD - Gaithersburg or Rockville preferred, who regularly services Infiniti's, and whom you've had good experiences with. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks a lot

Try Precision in Germantown off Middlebrook behind the Bank of America. I do quite of bit of work myself, because the dealership in Bethesda is too expensive. Yes the charge of $330 for rear pads in rape. Takes about 30 mins.

Brake pads and rotors are one of the most overpriced jobs on the car, IMO. They are super easy to do, I try to recommend people do it themselves if possible. I think people dont mind paying up for brakes for the safety aspect, and that's why shops get away with charging up so much. Its such a simple process. I had it done once with my previous car and the shop claimed a fluid bleed was required during pad replacement for $100 more. Funny, I was able to do it from that point on without bleeding the lines.

Try asking in the National G forum section about shops in the MoCo area. Those guys know the good places to go.
