anyone recommend a good Dealership in NY/NJ

I've been pretty happy with Syracuse, but I'd expect most are similar. If you have a few to go to I would visit more than one and see if you have a preference or maybe work their deals to your benefit. Syracuse has only X's on thier lots typically but shouldn't be hard to find the AWD at the others, and they will all trade with each other to make a sale.

If you are looking to buy, I would recommend staying away from dealerships in greater NYC area; many of the salespeople have a "New York" edge to them and aren't as pleasant to work with, and the prices are higher reflecting a higher cost of living in the area (and thus higher operating expenses). I live in NYC part of the time, but purchased my G at Competition Infiniti of Smithtown (Suffolk County). They have a fairly large fleet and need to keep the cars moving off their lot - which means both more choices re. color/options etc and the fact that they make their money by moving a volume of cars (rather than trying to finagle as much as they can off every car they have - not that they would mind). This is why I tend to shop at larger high volume dealerships. Although I bought my G35x in 2007, it was by far the best quote and I tried shopping around in Weschester, New Jersey and have called or gone as far as Pennsylvania dealerships.

I got a great deal on my 08xS. My 09 deal's was good but I knew it was not going to be as good of a deal since I had to pay more to get the car from Florida.
Buy your car in the last week of the month. Salereps will be trying to make extra sales to make quota or hit additional bonuses. Before you go to any dealership bring in the # from Edmunds for the car you want with the options you want. And also send out many web inquires to different Infiniti dealers for the model you want with the options you want. You will be able to get quotes emailed to you from dealers that you can used to negotiate. I did this with both my last cars. The negotiations were painless and quick.
If the dealer does not want to negotiate be prepare to walk away and actually do it if it comes to that.
But If lived closer to Kenny I would of gone to see him without a doubt since he's a participating members of our forums.

Agreed. I emailed about between 6-10 dealers in the NJ/NY metro area, asking for out the door prices. Two of them came back with prices. One was Ramsey and the other was Lynnes.
Normally I don't show or tell any dealer the prices I received as I understand they have to make some profit to stay in business, but since I test drove a few times with Ramsey, I gave Ramsey a last chance by telling the sales person what price I had. I know he received the "last chance" e-mail as the sales person and I had been trading emails all afternoon and he didn't respond to the e-mail containing the info about Ramsey being close to $3k more than the other dealer till 3 days afterwards..
When it came down to buy, I went to Lynnes with the e-mail and it was simple, no negotiating. We paid $500 over invoice and financed at 1.9%. Perhaps I could have squeezed another $100 out of them but it was a fair deal to both parties that my wife and I were willing to take.

When I shopped my G35X in April 07, I shopped 5 dealers. Many of them quotes here on this thread. I found the best Deal at Pepe infiniti in White Plains, hands down. I was a Costco referral - saved about $40 / mo. on my lease. Very pleasant sales people and the service dept. is terrific!!. byw, all 5 dealers had 5 different prices, Internet or not, you NEED to Go to the Dealers and talk. try COSTCO referral service, it did work for me.
