like in Manhattan? Unless you have a garage, don't get a car, at least not one of any real value.

 

NYC =/= Manhattan, and even in Manhattan one can get away with street parking if one knows where to find it. Need a BumperBully or like, though.

 

oh, i wasn't worried about finding parking, just the condition of your car when you get back.

Things I was lucky enough to experience: scuffs/scratches from parallel parking, rock chips from street sweepers, parking tickets, bird crap, and my personal favorite - vomit.

 

All true, all of the above (sans vomit ) happened to me as well. My G being towed two weeks into ownership to the West Side impound (from a street where there was ONE 4-7 PM no parking sign at the other end) one-ups this.

 

Hey I live in Queens, currently no garage but when i updgrade to a g I'll surely rent one. Too many jelous haters out there.
