1.) DIY? at the least, the cost of primer and paint
2.) Take the headlights off the car, remove all harnesses and bulbs, wrap in a moist towel and bake in the oven at 225 degrees for 15 minutes. Take the clear cover off by gently prying it at the edges. If the sealant hardens up before you can completely take it off, pop it back in the oven for a few minutes. Once everything is separated, prep/prime and paint the parts you want. After you're done and paint is dry, place everything back in the oven for a few minutes, take it out and re-assemble. Put all harnesses and bulbs back in, put it back on the car and you're done. Should take a couple of hours.
3.) Sorry, no idea.

just did this DIY on my '07 Sport 6MT Obsidian Black. I have an extra car to drive around so I took my time with this mod, making sure I allowed plenty of time for each coat of paint to dry and such. I took the headlights off (and grille) on a Friday night, took the lights apart, sanded, and primed on Saturday, painted on Sunday, clear coat on Monday, reinstalled Tuesday. I'm sure it could be done in a shorter span of time, but I took my time and it was WELL worth it, my car now looks 1,000 times better in my opinion, there's a great DIY on here for the previous generation G35, pretty similar as far as process goes, only removal and reinstallation of the housing should be different.
Here are some before/after pics (painted the grille as well):

Ditto. I bake a variety of other parts in there, too, to cure paint.

The grille you can DIY pretty easily, check out the DIY section. The headlights are alot more complex and easier to mess up IMO. There are some people on here that might be willing to do it for you if you pay them, but if you don't have the courage to DIY, i would just wait.

I think Danny(UCLA bruin on myg37?) paints headlight housings. He's kind of local i guess, I think he's in la. I also believe that ivorypearl was offering to paint housings but you'd have to ship it to florida and Igor does good work in ny

I was a little worried about that but I had no problems at all, came out just fine! They still work fine:0)
