Ur not alone, I broke the top 2 of my engine cover too. My boys tell me stay off the juice, but they're really weak bolts.

I took them back out with a longnose tool. they spin right out.

I just used a bolt i found in my basement with 2 washers.

 

edit: got a very similar bolt at lowes. problem solved
