2008 G35x - Maintenance - Premium or Schedule 1 or 2?
I am considering purchasing a 2008 G35x. and would like evaluate maintenance costs. I see 3 options- premium, schedule 1 and schedule 2.
Premium seems like a scam - for example this option has engine coolant flush at 30k miles. Seems ridiculous.
Will I be ok with going with schedule 2? I will be driving in NJ, 70% highway, 30% city, approx 15k miles per annum.
Would like to know what other owners are following - premium or schedule1/2?

I'd at least get schedule 1. I don't buy it when dealers say 1 oil change a year... even if it is synthetic.
i actually have the premium schedule because well... I bet I paid less than what your schedule 1 quote is. ha ha but plus I like the perk of loaner cars instead of waiting around for my car.
but yeah hey man coolant flush isn't anything to laugh at... poor system gets brings all sorts of crap and creates issues down the line... nor is brake fluid flush... eats away at your brake lines... have to realize anything that heats and cools has their original properties altered.
of course most luxury car buyers also change their cars within 5 years. so it might not even matter.

I agree with the statement about flushing the cooling system and brake fluid regularly. That gets rid of the contaminants (rust in the cooling system and water in the brake system) and allows for their inspection and can locate parts on their way out.
Do these cars run synthetic oil? If so, why would anyone want to change the oil at 3750 miles, seems like such a waste.
I do not think that a loaner car is or should be a perk, I think you should get a loaner from your selling dealer no matter what you bring the car in for (oil change, etc). Our Acura dealer always asks if we would like one regardless of the reason for the service.
