Anyone know what the "Interior Accent Lighting" is? I have also never heard of the R Spec High Friction Brake Pads although that sounds more like a fancy name for our stock pads.

R spec high friction pads are like ceramic pads for the akebonos. but there is a caveat. the r spec pads aren't covered under the warranty for some reason. it's like a balancing act tho cause harder pads wear out the disc faster, and harder discs wear out the pads faster. so i mean... I dunno what the deal with this option is... oddly enough tho, I think in terms of durability, the G35S sport brakes outperformed the akebonos... odd huh?

interior accent lighting I think is the foot well lights... just a couple LEDs that point towards the ground. I don't remember it being anything else...

I don't think they are covered under warranty anyway (brake pads and rotors), so I am not sure that it is any different. I think they are just reiterating that so you know.....

brakes are considered high wear items and are not covered under warranty to begin with anyway.

in terms of the warranty it's a matter of disc warping and premature failure of the brakes.

but the reality the major truth is in the later part of how the brakes wear. the disc and the pads are going to wear differently. more frequent pad changes, probably more frequent disc change. it's a material density thing
