A bit off topic, anyone of you got the phone part to work while using the ipod dock for any version of the iPhones?

Yeah my phone worked fine when I had the 1st gen iphone. After I got the 3G i switched to an older iPod though. I'm sure it'll work, just dont turn on airplane mode when u plug it in

Has anyone gotten any positive results in solving this? I have the exact same problem...

got 3gs in july or august. using it with the passport adapter and ipod and phone part both work great. i'm still on the 3.0 OS. did you upgrade to 3.1?

Has anyone tried to dowload the phone book from an iPhone 3Gs? I can not get mine to work at all when it comes to the phone book option. The bluetooth works fine and connects to my car within 3 sec of starting the car and incoming & out going calls come in clear...just want to download my phone book so that I don't have to keep using the iPhone itself to dial the numbers.

I did upgrade to 3.1 and come to think about it that's about when the problems started. Anyone recall the same???
