HELP- I have read all I can find by searching and gave it to the Service Advisor. My Rattle sounds like it is coming from the Drivers side wheel, like a loose shock or something, but they told me it is not- they checked all teh suspension, etc. They say it is probably in the dash and that "If we take the dash out, you may get more rattles" and waited for me to respond...Like I was going to say, ok...nevermind.

This is a pretty loud rattle. It sounds like a screwdriver left on a dash or something. (I know it is not sunglasses in the holder...) I will say the advisor litterally hung out the window to see if he could hear it outside and could not, so it must be inside. I have heard about the steering column rattle, but not sure. My 07 G35X has been at the dealer for two days. I don't have alot of confidence based on what they are saying.

Anyone have the same- No sqeak, just flutter type rattle, regardless of speed, rpm, etc. Only while going.

 

Someone just had a rattle repaired here... they ended up finding it was the center trim piece around the stereo. Dealer took it off, added a little padding around it and no more rattle.

 

I had a nasty squeak..that got worse as Temperature dropped. From the driver side is sounded like it was coming from the passenger side..from the passenger side..it sounded like it was coming from the driver side! It turned out that a molding underneath the windshield base had to be replaced along with the windshield being pulled out ans re-sealed with mastic....

Rattle central for me, plenty more than the dashboard too.

 

Lets not get started w/ the interior noises. I just gave up after awhile.
The noises are so random and not consistant. And the dealer does not do anything unless you are able to reproduce the noise. Just turn up the music!

 

Dash Rattle Demon was fought off. It ended up being a sway bar linkage bushing on the drivers side. I told them that I thought it was supsension, but they wanted to agrue it was the dash. Good thing is that they didn't pull the dash and then find this out. Whew. The reason is seemed to be coming from the dash is that it was coming up through body.

 

how were you able to reproduce the rattle? music bass?

 

I got mine completely replaced with 2010 instrument cluster, after complaining about my 2009 dash was making noise and peels a little. My dealer just replace it and no questions at all.
