Bug spots!!!!

I am realy good about getting smashed bugs off the front of my car after a trip but I think there are some bugs in the trees around my house that are crapping on my car. My g is covered in little orangeish dots and I don't know how to get rid of them without scratching the clearcoat. Any ideas?

Clay bar is your best friend.

Clean the car really good with bug cleaner and clay bar it.

Austin I think I get the same thing, only thing I could think of is its bug cr4p too, or sap. Are you in NY too? If quick detailer doesnt do it, try some dish soap and clay bar like previously mentioned. Keep in mind you'll need to replace the wax or sealant if takes more than quick detailer.

Sleepy G check out detailedimage.com a very good resource for all car cleaning needs. You'll probably find a light polish that will do the trick, but that site will walk you through all the necessary steps. Also the care and detailing section of driver will have a lot of answers.

Austin I think kregg hit the nail on the head when he said tree sap. That is what I think it probably is all over your car. I have had that before and had to use a bug and tree sap remover to get rid of it then I had to rewax the car. I never park under trees anymore.

i am thinking it is sap too. my buddy had the same thing on his car. he used turtle wax bug and tar remover, but he still had to basically pick at it for hours to get them all off.

If i take a clay bar to these will it take all these off? i will then have to wax my car after that?

I vote for tree sap too if it's all over your car.

The clay bar you buy will have instructions, but basically you'll remove the wax from the G (I used Dawn, some don't like that), use the clay bar, then have to wax again.

It took off some paint overspray really well.

G/L!
