EVOs are way over rated. I'm waiting for a no-name car company in Europe or Asia to come out with a cheap car that wrecks EVO's. O wait they're called Civics, drop $10,000 and its faster. I hate EVO's and always have, if you were getting an STi trade in i'd do it

The STI Hatch is the Primary reason I bought my G XS. You are, spot on, with the the Mazda analysis.
My last 3 Vehs were 02WRX, 04 STI, 05 STI. All three Tracked and A/Xd.
I would be driving another STI, right now, if it was a little unique in appearance.

At 66, I still Love raw performance. Putting 40K "stiff as a board" mi. a year, on my cars(business) never bothered me at all. In fact it made going to work VERY ENJOYABLE!!

I love my G, but I dont have that "Rush" you get from the exhaust and the boost and the 6 speed. If your young, and not trying to impress people about your economic status, then go for it. My BIG concern is realibality.
Good luck, Jerry

It's a no contest for me. The G by miles. They really aren't cars of the same class. Here in Canada -at least in this part you can't give away Mitsubishi's.

New G37, or a used EVO? Really? Relaible vs. unreliable. Did the other guy beat on it? You don't know. Stick with your G. The interior of the EVO sucks.

I'd say keep the G also, that 3.7 liter is not slow at all.

When it comes down to it. My feelings for wanting that car aren't as strong as the feelings of regret i would have for giving my G away.

Doing a little more research i've noticed Mitsubishi dealers are a pain to deal with. Not to mention they have been known to NOT honor warranty claims on Evo's that are modified in any manner.

QFT Very true! My friend is having this exact same problem with Mitsu dealerships right now, he said they are a PITA to deal with.

That Evo is way to juvenile looking. Your G is a much much classier car.
Unless you are 19 years old, I say stick with your G.

Well, I voted for the G.
Most of the reasons why I chose the G have already been posted, so I'll just add to them.
The G is a luxury car, and that car will always be good to you, no matter where you drive it. Like you said, the Evo is a one trick pony, it's only for performance, and if that's all you're going to do with it, then go for it.
I realized something a long time ago, most of us don't spend all of our time drag racing or taking sharp corners or going through slaloms or curvy hills.
I've got a '08 G35 sedan, and it'll go fast when I want it to, and that's about 5% of the entire time I'm driving it.
