Proper Headrests in the back?

http://images.thecarconnection.com/l...00234016_l.jpg

Are those real headrests I see in the back? Please don't tell me that they are only available in Europe as I will freak out. Can someone find any pictures of the interior showing the rear seats.

Another question is whether that wheat with black dash is the new standard or is that just because that particular pic is the European version? The wheat with the dark brown dash didn't do much for me, but the wheat with black dash looks pretty upscale.

I still can't get over how the styling of the new grill is reminiscent of the rears of previous generation FX's. (i.e. Extended top and bottom bars that frame the grill).
I was going to say Maxima for the front end, but is the similarity to the altima that surprising considering the striking similarity already between the Coupe version of the two cars?

No that looks like holes around the headlight that will allow some light to filter through and light up the shroud.

Does anyone know what this entails? "2GB Music Box Flash Memory Music Server added to the Premium Package "

Does this mean that we will finally be able to copy mp3s to 2 gigs of allocated space on the hard drive?

I think 2GB Flash means no hard drive. I think this is what you get if you get the premium package but don't get the NAV package.
So I think the premium package will now give you the rear view monitor and usb port (instead of A/V plugs and iPod connector) and this 2GB of built in Flash Memory for storing music in the car itself.

You don't get the 2GB flash music server if you get the NAV. The 2GB is something that added to the premium package if you don't get the NAV.

That really makes it a bit easier to skip the NAV package. Although with the NAV package you still get the same hard drive space plus upgraded screen resolution as well as DVD playback.

See here for a pdf containing details on the specifications on each package:
http://www.nissannews.com/download.do?id=959

As for how they handle the 2GB (i.e. can you load MP3s directly, etc) I'm not sure. You can go to Nissan's website and look at the user manual for the 2010 Maxima. They've already got these options for the 2010 Maxima (i.e. upgraded NAV screen and 2GB flash available for non-nav vehicles). So it would probably tell how this 2GB setup works in the 2010 Maxima pdfs they have there. I looked at them a while ago to get an idea for what was going to be new for the G but don't remember the details about the 2GB in terms of how it handles the music.

This is a nice midlife refresh, IMHO. Brings the G inline with the new direction of the Brand.

Not enough to make me want to go out and retrofit my 08 S. The front is def more Altima ish for my taste...not at all new Maxima. For 600 i can have projectors put in my sport bumper and still maintain the lines. As for the headlights...very subtle change...but i have custom cut tint on mine so it's not that noticeable.

Not so sure about the new metal bars next to center console...to me it harkens back to the mismatch of metal finishes that as a designer bothers me. Center console is a bit cleaner and more upscale, tho...

You can tell Nissan is conservative...which is a good thing these days. Expect all new in late 2011 based on the 5 year lifecycle of Infiniti.

I'll be just out of my G37S coupe i'm going into when this lease is up.

So for us Canadians who have daytime running lights, does that mean that the shroud lit up will be the DRL'S? Kinda like the Angel eyes of the BMW? This could be interesting.

I highly doubt it b/c the daytime running lights for us canucks are the inside high beam lights running on low beam. Plus on BMW angel eye DTR lights it is actual light around the shroud that lights up and not light filtering through from the projector like on 07-09's. The 07-09 setup does this as well but they have slits instead of actual holes.

FWIW, ^ Those inside lights are the fogs.
The H&L beams work with a shutter on the projector.
