Getting grill painted

So tommorow i am going to bring my grill down to a local body shop to get it painted. I just want to make sure that it is safe to drive around without it. The weather for tommorow calls for rain, as well as the next day. Thanks

you'll be fine without the grill. If you have descent can skills you can DIY painting the grill. Search around there are some good threads on this.....

not sure yet i have a friend who took it to a shop called combine in commack and he said it cost $50 bucks. i think mine might be a little more expensive since i want them to put a clear coat over the grille and Mt. Fuji so im assuming around $70. trying to finish the blackout look for my car, now i just gotta order vinyl and wrap the chrome trim

I was thinking about doing it myself but dont want to worry about messing it up and having noticeable smudges and things, it would bug me every time i walk up to my car.

for $50 - 70, I'd get it done by a pro for sure.

Are you going dark?
or are you going body color?

Be sure to share some pics when done.

I was thinking of blacking my grille come springtime but the mention of body color got me thinking. Anyone ever do an '07 sedan in the silver color?

I wouldn't be too concerned about rain. If it was hot out there may be a air flow pattern concern for cooling purposes but sort of hard to state that without a wind tunnel. What would concern me the most is road hazards such as a rock getting kicked up, etc. but that exposure should be of a very limited period unless the paint shop really takes their time.
