Raplacing steering wheel bezel cover

I have a 2007 G35s Sedan which I recently bought pre-owned. The person before me somehow managed to scratch the living crap out of the black front portion of the steering wheel close to volume control's and cruise controls.
I don't know how else to describe the part...its not the whole steering wheel or the outside leather portion that is scratched, its just the center black portion.
Anyways, is this even something that can be replaced or do I have to spend over $600 for a new steering wheel? If it can be replaced, what is the part # or part name?

Please help!!

My steering wheel bezel was scratched the same way. My local dealership was kind enough to replace the entire steering wheel under warranty.

This has been on the forum a few times with others having the same problem, so search around or see if Rick at Riverside can help you out.

This is a warranty issue. My dealer offered to change out my steering wheel the last time I was there. i didn't have time, so I told him I'd me back in a few months.

Go get a new steering wheel!

i have the same thing that happened to mine. I'm going to take it in and get all warranty things taken care of.

I had an issue with a dealership in Austin not wanting to do warranty work on the belt moldings on all four doors. They were cracked and warping, letting water inside the door when it rained and they wouldn't replace them under warranty.

Wow that's amazing. Did they give you a hard time or did they know it was a known issue and just offered to replace the whole wheel. See I thought this was a cosmetic thing and warranty would not cover it.

Infiniti service is truely awesome. Took my car to Infiniti and they offered to replaced whole steering wheel as well as some side panels that were scratched over time.
I don't think any other dealer would do this for the customers.

I cant get them to budge on anything.

I have a few scratches on my steering wheel, and passenger door handle.

I bought my 07 a couple weeks ago and it had a lot of wear in exactly the same area. The dealership replaced the entire steering wheel under warranty no problem.

Awesome service update

Ok...so I just wanted to let everyone know of the amazing service have received from Infiniti.
They replaced my steering wheel, replaced side plastic panels and center console panel all under warranty.
Then I got to thinking... "What else can I get replaced on my car under warranty?"
My front exterior Grill was chipped pretty bad, and as I understand, a lot of G35 owners have this common issue. I asked Infiniti if the the Grill was covered and they said "yes". Couldn't beleive it.

Got my grill replaced as well and my car looks brand new. I wonder if they cover rims as well.
