I generally use Castrol Syntec or Castrol Edge (5W30). I did use Mobil 1 Extended the last couple changes. Filters have been either Nissan OEM or Mobil 1 Filters.
K & N filters for the next couple changes as Advance Auto and AutoZone always have the oil AND filter sales for a good price.
The Nissan OEM filters I just by online - usually from West Covina Nissan via their eBay store.
DIYs are all over the place...I do a lot of maintenance on a lot of cars and the G is really simple to work on.

I get the dealership to do my free oil and filter change every 6000km.(negotiated at purchase time)
I use my own trusted mechanic (Peter) for following the Infiniti Maintenance Schedule. I have a priced-out Infiniti Maintenance Schedule from my dealership.
I had Peter quote the same list (he couldn't see dealership prices). Big difference in cost. For example, The 24k/12month cost when done by Peter was $85 and would have been $230 by the dealership. The 48k/24month will be $125 at Peter's or $274 at the dealership.
Peter prices don't include oil & filter so, to be fair, I have subtracted the cost of that from the dealerships costs shown here.
I do a few things myself too. Air filters, In cabin filter, Rotate tires.
