I personally plan on keeping my G35 as long as possible- graduate school debt and all that jazz means I won't have a ton of money any time soon.

but in general...I think my next car will be more luxurious/comfortable. Since I've started riding motorcycles, outright speed has become less of an issue for me. I want my next car to have nice suspension, and a very comfortable interior.

I'd love a MB CLS Sexy and comfortable....and a HUGE *** price tag. Wonder how the used market on them will be in a few years?

I won't be trading the G, I think its an amazing sporty little sedan. I plan to keep it as long as it will run. But I plan to purchase the M3 Coupe after the G is paid off not to far down the road. Love to have a coupe for being crazy around town and the sedan to travel in. The G is perfect for traveling, nice, comfy and cute.

Better be sure to get some bonus warranty coverage if your buying a used MB, BMW or Audi, all are fantastic cars while under warranty, seems like they really start having expensive problems after 75-100k miles. Our 745Li was going to take me to the poorhouse if I didn't dump it a few months back

When it comes time to move on I'll try to get an Infiniti M56 (or whatever liter v8 they have at that time), probably around 2013.

Did you hear that only ONE of the ISF's exhausts are functional?

Gonna keep it till the wheels fall off. A friend of mine (YoungTurk) has kept his 240 for 17 years. It only gets better, same for mine. I'm not a big fan of the new G sedans, the insides are fantastic, but I don't like the body that much, it doesn't have the funtional beauty of the first gen sedans. So I'm going to keep this for a while. IF I do buy another car, I think it will be a 330i or an M3.

This was the most publicized example of exhaust pipe fake-ness. The quad pipes, dual stacked, looked great from a distance. And the IS-F has the capabilities to deserve some man-tastic exhaust. But, Lexus, in a blatant cost-cutting and looks-enhancing measure, didn’t even connect the pipes. The chromed oval tips are just sitting in the bumper, empty as Paris Hilton’s head.

There’s a little bit of debate about whether the problem was only on pre-production models and whether it was corrected on the production version. Here’s the down low: the pre-production IS-F’s had placeholders on the top, and were only running twins. For the final car they do infact have four pipes, but while the tips are oval and large the pipes are weedy and circular with a large gap in between — and don’t even line up. Cool Lexus. Real cool.
