...another new Owner!

Dont want to steal anyone else' thunder....
But as of today I'm the proud new owner of a *preowned* 07 Blue Slate G35x.
I've been lurking this forum for quite a while, and searching for the right options/color/miles/price combo.

Man I love driving it!
cheers to all.

tg- I know BS isn't rare, but I wanted stone interior. Seemed to be hard to come by in the last few months in my area. And I didn't want to fly to Texas. So I patiently waited until I found it. First time I saw it, it was covered in salt in the dealership. The just received an auction shipment before xmas.
no mods just yet. I need to learn the car first before I mess with it. Second set of wheels & rubber are probably first on list. (winter/summer)
User 'Coryuyede' has an amazing looking set on his 09.

Blue slate with stone interior is what I like best too. You may want to get some winter floor mats to go with those winter tires. Keeping stone color mats nice looking takes some extra effort!
+1 on the winter tires and wheels. That was my 1st purchase. Car drives great in winter with my blizzacks and mine is only RWD.

I haven't taken anything off the camera yet.
And today its been snowing. I can't show off with a salty snowy mess.
Interesting driving in the snow today though. I will most certainly need a winter/summer set.

I should probably start a new thread. But it's the weekend...

My 3 day driving discovery-
- On snow covered streets, stock tires are fine for accelerating, cornering. For braking, ABS way too sensitive compared to my 4runner. (I know, apples and oranges) Big advantage I believe is the tries. My 4R has BFG T/As. I noticed when I switched to this type of tire, it slowed the ABS down. Looks like I'll be switching to Blizzaks for the G.
- I haven't turned VDC off yet.
- Holy crap on the acceleration! On the few hours of dry streets- I've enjoyed messing with other spirited drivers.
- MrClean magic eraser - immediately followed by leather conditioner- removes pen/ink marks on the stone leather (Don't try this in a conspicuous area until youve tested on your own color leather)
- I'm annoyed I can't burn mp3s onto the music box from CF. Just discovered this after reading another Sticky. Equally annoyed at Gracenote for not allowing burned CD music to recognize and display track titles, without certain tag structure. Glad I've got Audacity to retag music. But that's gonna take some time.
- Can anyone tell me how to turn on dash illumination without the parking lights?
- Navigation shortfalls... Last map update was 06-07 (orig dealer purchase apparently). Whats the fastest cheapest way to update the maps?
