Driving away without keyfob - how far?

I haven't tried this, but how far can you drive away from your keyfob?

Someone at work has an M35x and he noticed the car was running when he left for lunch, basically he left the car running the moment he got into work in the morning. The doors were unlocked, so if someone got into the car how far could they have gotten before the car shut off?

IIRC someone posted about this.
Once the car is started it will stay running.
e.g. key in passengers pocket;
passenger gets dropped off;
Driver drives away no problem, but after he stops, he's SOL.

so what you're saying is that I can drive until I shut the car off?
That sucks!
Unlike my Caravan I can start the car and if anyone happens to get in and put the car in drive it shuts off right away.

Yup.
I like this feature a lot.

We have a busy driveway (kids) & often have to shuffle my truck.
I can jump in & start the G then move the truck w/o going back in the house to get the other truck key.

Also, when leaving the house & you get those "Oh schit" I forgot my briefcase moments.
Just jump out of the G, unlock the house door & back w/o having to restart the car.

Yeah You can lock it after you start it and nobody will take it. You can just push the bottom on the door and it will lock the car when it is running.

I like how the car auto locks when you get out of the car, with the Intelligent Key. My moms and dads car, just sit there unlocked, and you cant even manually lock them.

^ Did not know this. I know I can program mine to unlock driver door or unlock all 4 with one push but did not see where this was an option. You mean you get out of your car, close door and walk away and if left unlocked, it will automatically lock? Because I have walked out several times to my car in the morning or evening to find it unlocked, most likely due to fact I did not lock it ( I am bad at remembering to lock my doors apparently), so this might be a feature I could use.
