LONNGGGGG crank time when starting

Hey Guys,

Got an 08 G35 since it was new and love it. Power and handling is amazing. Got a weird problem with it now though. Every time after I get gas, when I start the car, it cranks for a good 4-5 secs before it finally fires up and it sounds weak initially. Next time I start it, it sounds fine like nothing is wrong. I took it to the dealer and they say they've never heard of this issue before and will need to keep my car to diagnose it more. They think it may be a fuel pump issue but not sure. When i get gas i usually get about 16-17 gallons, which means there is still plenty left in the tank so I don't think my fuel pump is faulty. Anything like this ever happen to you? PLEASE let me know so I can give some suggestions to my dealer.

thanks,

1nickatnite1

I think it could be cause by the spark plugs. the spark plugs play a role in how long the cranks for and how much fuel is delivered into the piston chamber. i dont know for sure but that would be my guess

it could be many many things. Your dealer is right. Possible fuel pump. However it can be bunch of others. Let them figure it out.
