Underbody tray destroyed
Okay so this winter we've seen our fair share of snow in NYC. As a result of lowering my car I've ripped the engine tray to shreds basically. Driving over piles of snow higher than 3 inches becomes like a grinding session in a skateboarding game. I need some advice on what to do in terms of replacing the engine underbody tray for something more sturdy or with a smaller profile so it doesnt scrape and get destroyed all the time.
I know I'm not the only one with this problem anyone else who's low knows this issue.
I've seen the ARC undertray which goes for $600 but thats not even an option it's way too expensive.

Are there any other options at this point?

I dont know the name of the company or the user but i know for sure that there is one member here who posted pics of a similar strong aluminum underbody protection tray a long while ago on his car. And it was not ARC and was MUCH cheaper if i remember correctly, maybe he'll stop by or you can find it on here.

If the oem plastic tray is able to bend and flex, and still manages to get ripped out. Then what do you think is going to happened to an aluminum one.
I rather get a new plastic one that can flex and take some hit.. Then an aluminum one that will look all dented up after a few hits.

The ebay one has the coolant drain hole is on the wrong side, these are well made and the black coating is nice http://www.zspeedperformance.com/Exterior-Body_c16.htm and they are cheaper.

he makes them. I'm sure if you ask, he can make one for a 2nd gen sedan.
I've asked him, he said that he will make one for the X very soon. He didn't specify if its going to be for the second gen sedan. I don't know if theres a difference in the layouts.
