I been testing this for a while now, ill fill up V-Power full tank, and ill get about 250 miles before the car says i have ---- miles left on my tank, ill still drive around more, cus i know i have a 20gal tank...

once i hit 300 or so ill fill up.
Even then im only filling 17 or so gal.

i get about 18 mpg

anyone one else have this happen?

 

shows 370-380. i drive 400mi 70% highway 30% city before filling up minus some weeks when i run it hard which brings me down to 320s

 

I get 18mpg city driving. About 25mpg hwy cruising at 70mph.

 

i need to fill up gas today and post up the info.

mine at fill up will say 320, but when i drive a little bit it says 270...

 

Im about to fill up and will post afterwards but I think I've only seen mine the highest at 330 maybe less.

just filled up a full tank,

my dash read:
MPG 18.8
MPH 29.7
328.4 miles I drove on the last full tank
(the light went off at 248miles)
after I filled up the dash read that I have 320miles before I run out.

I filled up
17.776 Gal

so why is my car telling me i have ---- Miles left in my tank just after using 13-14 Gal??

does this happen to anyone else?

 

yup it goes --- and you can put 50miles on that. thats the most i got. why it does what it does. cant tell you.

and about 270 miles to the full tank

17.5 mpg X 18 = 315miles

btw 17.776gal for $50, I fill up once a week or less

 

fyi: the car stores 2gallons as reserve and the ---- comes on when you have less than a gallon left of the "unreserved" gas (if that makes sense) , so technically you have about 2-3gallons(40-70depending) left after seeing the ----.

 

I believe this is true. I ran mine down to where I got the warning of 8 miles before empty (I was on the highway and was getting nervous). When I filled it to the brim it only took 16.5 gallons. I mentioned this to the service guy at the dealership and he said that the car has a 2 or 3 gallon reserve.

 

my concern is the car tells me i have 0 miles and when i fill up i only fill up 14 gal...

6 gal reserve?

 

also when i last filled up, i kept pumping and when i turned the car on, my gas needle didnt go all the way up, it was at the 2nd to top notch...
