Key FOB range sucks

my key fob range sucks ***

ill be 20 feet away and press the lock button and it doesnt respond...
or when i hold the unlock button to roll down the window, (hot as hell in Texas)

once i walk up closer it works just fine.

so i changed the battery and thinking that the battery was low... nope, still sucks.

anyone else having the same issue?

Mine works awesome. Long range no issue. The windows roll down option is for security reason. They don't want you to do it from far by accidently. It is also locks it from further then unlock it. Which kind of make sense. But I can lock mine from well over 100 ft.

Battery maybe?

just place the remote on your chin. It does a nice job extending the range.

The poll is going to be a hit and miss. Most of the votes from the first generation G owners. So HRP take it with caution.

Yea mine is the same, I can get it to work if I have a line of sight, and the chin trick sometimes works.

I can Lock/Unlock my car from my office with the car sitting on top of the parking garage, about 100 feet away.
Holding the button to roll down the windows can be hit or miss though. It needs to maintain a steady signal for a much longer time and sometimes it doesn't make it.

I'm not unhappy. With my luck, I'd roll my windows down before leaving the office to let the car cool and it's be pouring out before I got to it.

1st gen here, Sucks If I hold it up higher and point to my windows it works a bit farther. I have to do the Head/Chin trick many times. Some say its for security reasons so you don't unlock your car when your 30+ feet away.

we need a Hi-Gain Antenna mod lol, where is the receiver any how? I hear its in the A Pillar?

2nd gen sedan here. I think the range is great compared to my previous cars Honda Civic, Honda Accord, Jeep Cherokee, etc.

2nd Gen. I've never had a problem worth mentioning about my intelli-key signal. Sometimes if I'm too far away it doesn't roll down the window all the way but if I hit my lock button from where I'm sitting in my office, I can hear the horn honk all the way from the parking lot.

mine operates really far it scares me sometimes. I parked outside of college once (a long distance away) and while on the porch of the college building, I pressed the lock button and it honked lol
