I believe most of us got the flyer from Infiniti offering the $99 upgrade to "System 09 - 10" upgrade. I had the upgrade done but noticed a discrepency when I checked the version on the Nav system as the following shows

Purchased: System 09 - 10 for HDD System

After Install: Map Version
08-09YEAR


Logic would tell me Map Version should be 09-10YEAR and they used an outdated upgrade version but I don't know this for sure, they could argue 'Map Version' and 'System' are two different things.

Can anyone tell me after their upgrade if there version is indeed "Map Version 09-10YEAR" on there Nav screen?

They put the wrong version on, it should read 09-10 (at least mine does)

The dealer says they don't control what version gets installed since it's tied to the 'Activation Code' issued on the purchase receipt.

I'm thinking I might have to call Infiniti Customer Service to figure this out, all I know is I'm out $220 for an outdated map.

yeah my dealer wants $120 to install this. all they do is hook up a cable and let it run. like seriously. charge $20-50 and you will get more business with more customers rather then $100++. and in your case lost 220 for a old map.

 

I had the same thing happen to me.

Went for the 09-10 update. Supposedly got it done. I checked before I left the dealer and it said 08-09. I talked to the manager and he said the same thing...we just put on whatever we have.

Two days later, I got a call from the dealer telling me that they apparently had the 09-10 update sitting on someone's desk and just never loaded it into their system. I went back, got it redone...and an oil change for free.

 

Just got the 09-10 update today. It says 09-10

the new nav systems include weather, does this do that or does it just update the maps? also does it let you navigate while driving or make the car any faster?

 

Just updates that map, wont add new feature like weather etc. It will NOT let you navigate while driving BUT it WILL make your car go a lot faster!

 

I'm running sub-12's in the quarter now. Forget Nitrous!

 

Yeah, the fact that it won't even let the passanger work the NAV is a p.i.t.a!!
