Man Mode ?????

When in Man Mode , let's say in 2nd gear ,and you floor it without shifting ,..will it shift automatically just before redline ,.. or will it stay in gear

From personal experience, no. The revs will be stuck just past redline until you shift, again, that is from personal experience.

Like you said, it is "man" mode so the car lets you be the man and take control by shifting yourself rather than intrude but seriously though its one of the features of the AT to help make the driver feel more in control when in man mode, the needle will keep bouncing at the redline until you shift to the next gear, its better to upshift a few hundred rpms before the redline as the shift takes a little time.

My needle didn't bounce off the redline, it just stayed at like 400 rpms past it :P

it seems like it crosses the redline but it doesnt actually do it as you will learn from many members its kind of a safety feature i guess to keep people from excessively high revving the car. I have driven the AT couple of times and if you just floor the acc in a gear in man mode and dont let your foot off, it bounced a couple of times around 7.8k before cutting off the fuel for a few seconds.

Ours cars have a soft limiter so at redline the ECU won't actually cut the fuel but will retard the ignition timing.

This is what a hard limiter (with fuel and spark cut) should sound like. This type of limiter will make the needle bounce unlike ours which just sits there at 7500rpm.

^ wow this is strange cause i can swear that both times i did it the needle bounced off the redline on the AT, but since you are so sure i will rest my case until i retest and confirm

it will bounce a little (like between 7.5-7.6K rpm) but it's nothing like the way a hard limiter does it.
