I noticed the traffic icon yesterday as well. Maybe related to the following special that XM seems to be running:

Looks like a 2 week trial where they have been turning everything on for everyone with an XM radio for 2 weeks starting 5/25 ending 6/7 ?

"Great News! Your inactive XM radio is back on!!"

I'm thinking that might be it. I guess I'll see if I've been missing anything by not having the traffic service on my subscription. So far . . . nope. Only the main roads about 20 mins from me seem to have coverage so still not worth it unless they add it for free.

One other quick tip: I asked if we can add and delete the traffic service on an 'as-needed' basis i.e. turn it on for a trip that we might plan to take and then turn it off. I was told you can do that and it doesn't impact the rest of your subscription (no extension, etc).

Since I can't use the traffic in most areas that I drive daily I figure I'l turn it on for longer trips through NYC or NJ since it would probably be worthwhile for that time and then turn it off.

Ah, I was wondering why it was active on my 07. Nice to have but I won't pay for it. Cancelled my sat radio 3 years ago after deciding I didn't want to pay for radio that sounds like sh**.

unfortunately i just noticed this yesterday! i really hope it doesnt end 6/7! i never got anything in the mail either.

 

It finished yesterday. It said something like this, "XM Traffic Expired". Anyone else got it?

 

Yeah I got the same message today as well. I never even used it to tell you the truth.

 

i had my head unit replaced under warranty, and infiniti never registered the head unit to XM. I have had FREE XM, Traffic and all that for over a year now. I called XM to ask why i didnt get the NFL games anymore, they said my radio has not be registered with them and its on "demo mode" I told XM to leave it and i will have infiniti register the unit cus they owe me 1 year free.... still using my "demo" XM
