All seasons?

So when going from a g35 coupe to a g35x I was solely interested in practicality. That means i need a car that can get me through snow, thus i was wondering if any of you guys have recommendations for good all seasons for the g35x? The original tires are just about bald and they were ok, lasted 30k miles.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Also, anyone run 17in rims? Stupid question but im curious to see what they look like (besides stock of course).

Thanks!

I run my 17's with a set of winter Blizzak WS-50's and I run a separate set of high perf summer tires for the warmer weather.
Getting the X off of the all-seasons and onto a great set of tires did wonders for the enjoyment factor of this car, in both the good weather and the bad.

Just my $0.02

Yeah sadly it wont be an option for this car. For the coupe i loved running 19s with nitto neogens in the warmer months and switching but being at school 8 months a year really makes it difficult. Ill sacrifice performance for all seasons, the g35x is already wayyy different, in a bad way, than the coupe in terms of handling and excitement. Something ill have to live with for two years till i pull the trigger on something special

When I got my G35x about a year ago, I needed tires. I put on a set of Michelin Hydro-edge because I had had them on my last two cars and I get them at a decent price. They are good in rain, snow and on dry ground. They are not Blizzaks, racing tires or high performance. They are just good all-around tires for a reasonable price.

Bought our X with Goodyear Traction TA tires on it.
So far, I've been pleasantly surprised!!! They did GREAT in the snows we had and they handle OK. We normally don't push the X very much, the wife drives it mainly.
Not sure what we will put on it next, but will be A/S, but not UHP

I recommend the Continental DWS for an all-season. Based on the reviews, they seem to be about as capable in the snow as you can get for an all-season. For the other 3 seasons, they seem to be pretty nice. Definitely not the handling characteristics of a good summer tire, but good for an all-season, and great gas mileage thanks to their light weight.
