Hi all,

I'm trying to remove the glove box as I am in search of a nasty rattle


I found this page on line :

However, I'm stuck at the part where I'm supposed to remove the damper pin.

I don't see any screw spot or anything...

Can anyone help me remove this part?

i did this like a week ago, I believe that piece just snaps off...

 

If you stick your finger back there, it feels like a screw is holding it in place but that is not actually the case. It's a hoop at the end of the string that just pops onto a ball. Pop it off or use a thin tool to help you get leverage if you can't get it off with your fingers.
It snaps right back on when you are done.

Think of how Barbie's head pops on and off of her neck.

 

Make sure you're pulling the end that's attached to the box, not the end at the back. Just pull on it hard and it should come off.
